The New Era Cowboy Basketball Promo
Emmy Nominated | Shot
This video was born out of a quote Head Coach Mike Boynton said after a game in the locker room. “We weren’t buried in the ground. We were planted.” Leaning into the ag school roots and this quote, we used images of planting alongside the hard work the players had done in the offseason. This video was nominated for a Heartland Regional Emmy in the Program Productions category.
Obrate Stadium Opening Video
Produced | Written | Edited
The goal for this video was to show how the entire history of Oklahoma State Baseball had been leading to this stadium. How this new stadium was not only a monument to the past but also a promise to the future. This project included writing a nearly three minute script, researching cowboy baseball history, working with outside talent and combing through archives to find old photos and video.

People always say there’s something special about Oklahoma State, but they are never able to quite explain it. Frankly, I had always struggled to describe it myself. This video was my attempt to put into words what every Cowboy fan already had in their hearts. I sat current Athletic Director Chad Weiberg, an OSU alum, down in the studio and asked him some open-ended questions about his feelings about OSU. I sliced them up, captured some scenery footage and this is the result. Sadly, this campaign didn’t get very far because it kicked off right before covid, but I still believe I was able to capture at least some of what is truly special about Stillwater and Oklahoma State.

I served as the producer for our ESPN+ Broadcasts of Cowboy Basketball. This is an example of one of the opens we did that year. Obviously all of our fans knew about Cade Cunningham, but I wanted to help them learn about another important freshman to get them connected deeper with the team.

One of the biggest games in recent Cowgirl Soccer history, it came down to the final minute of overtime. My play-by-play announcer was very experienced but didn’t know soccer well. My color commentator knew soccer extremely well but was inexperienced. I had been prepping them for this moment once we got to overtime and they executed it very well. They let the sights and sounds tell the story, then Anna came in with solid insight and we got a replay in before getting to our final break. We came back, showed every angle of the golden goal we had, then caught up with the winning coach.
Joy of Drawing
Drawing Jayhawks with Kalib Boone

Part of the improved content planning meetings I led, one of our team members had the idea of getting the players to draw opposing mascots. That idea became this series, which we ended up running with every team for two years because it was always a hit.
Name That Town
Poteau with Cowboy Baseball

Again in one of our content planning meetings I pitched this idea I had seen done by a professional team outside the state. I thought it would be a good way to connect with different parts of the state and also give the players a chance to show a little personality. This has also turned into a hit and been implemented in other sports.
1995 Final Four Recognition
In-Venue Feed

For the 25th anniversary of the 1995 Final Four team, we brought the players and famed head coach Eddie Sutton back to recognize their accomplishments. It was especially sweet because Coach Sutton was close to the end, and our fanbase got one last chance to honor him the way he deserved.

NCAA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

I’m extremely proud of this series of videos but especially this particular one. In a state like Oklahoma, we often don’t center diverse identities and viewpoints. In this video I got to center people with different identities and backgrounds to give them the chance to define themselves and tell their stories. Fans often assume a lot about student-athletes, but using our platform to amplify their voices was a really awesome opportunity.
