Passion defines every part of my life, and is the reason I want to work in sports.
I want to work in sports because people are drawn to them in a way they aren’t to anything else, and nothing brings out raw emotions in those people like sports.
Religion doesn’t cause college students to run screaming through their college town, lighting off fireworks as they go.
Music doesn’t cause 60,000 people to stare in disbelief at what they witnessed.
And no one has willingly stood shirtless in below-freezing weather to support a politician.
But sport? Sport has caused all these things.
I know this because I have been a part of these experiences. I have felt the full weight of these emotions.
And that is why I want to work in sports media.
I want to connect people to their passion. I want to help people experience these emotions.
Sports are my passion, and I want to share that passion with others.
